Bukkit team joins Mojang

Last Tuesday, Feb. 28th the people behind the popular server management Bukkit announced that they had officially joined with the Minecraft team, to bring to the public an official Modding API for Minecraft. They plan to make the new API “a suitable replacement for Bukkit, if not a significantly better one, while bukkit.org will remain a community for modders for the foreseeable future.”
